Aldrich Potgieter wins 2025 Rocket Classic on 5th playoff hole in Detroit
Aldrich Potgieter, a 20-year-old South African, earned his first PGA Tour victory with a birdie on par-3 15th hole at Detroit Golf Club, June 29, 2025.
The top earners on the PGA Tour money list remained unchanged after the Rocket Classic.
No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and No. 2 Rory McIlroy did not compete in the tournament from Detroit. It’ll likely stay that way until the Scottish Open and British Open are held later this month.
Rocket Classic winner Aldrich Potgieter brought home $1.728 million in earnings. It brought his total to $2,950266 million, still a few million off the top earners.
There wasn’t any movement in the top 35 earners. The first movement this week comes from Min Woo Lee, who moved up three spots to No. 38 on the money list.
Aldrich Potgieter leaps PGA Tour average mark with Rocket Classic victory
The biggest jump by far was Potgieter who cleared 40 spots on the money list after his Rocket Classic victory. He leaped the PGA Tour average of $1,622,637 and now sits at No. 41.
Max Greyserman, who finished tied for second at the Rocket Classic, leaped 14 spots on the money list and is No. 44 with $2,809,758 in winnings this year.
Chris Kirk also finished tied for second and ballooned 24 spots to No. 61 with $1,962,229 earned this season.
