Chelsea FC centre-back Axel Disasi (27) is not expected to stick around for long at Stamford Bridge as several clubs are showing an interest in the former AS Monaco defender, according to Foot Mercato. After a rather convincing debut season under the tutelage of Mauricio Pochettino, Disasi has been found lacking game time with Enzo Maresca in the dugout. The Italian head coach sanctioned Disasi’s loan move to Premier League rivals Aston Villa during the winter transfer window.

The outlet adds that Disasi’s return to Stamford Bridge should be short-lived as Newcastle United and Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli are interested in signing the France international. Foot Mercato understands that many other clubs are expected to enter the race to sign Disasi, whose long-term Chelsea contract expires in 2029. What’s more, Chelsea are already planning for life without Disasi as they intend to bring Strasbourg centre-back Mamadou Sarr for the Club World Cup.
