Nobody throws Hail Mary passes like Aaron Rodgers.

The New York Jets quarterback added to his Hail Mary resume with a 52-yard strike to Allen Lazard to end the first half of Monday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. It cut the halftime deficit to 20-17 and gave the Jets momentum heading into the second half.

Social media had plenty of reactions to the play:

LeBron James @KingJames

Right!! It’s ridiculous! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Robert Mays @robertmays

The Rodgers Hail Mary thing is just such a funny, weird footnote for an all-time player.
“Yeah, he won 4 MVPs, a Super Bowl, went to 10 Pro Bowls…and oh yeah, he was weirdly incredible at throwing Hail Marys.”

Big Cat @BarstoolBigCat

It’s insane that when Rodgers throws a Hail Mary it’s a 50/50 proposition to work. On a HAIL MARY

This is nothing new for the future Hall of Famer.

After all, he completed three critical Hail Mary passes during his time with the Green Bay Packers, one of which went to Richard Rodgers to stun the Detroit Lions. The others came in the playoffs with Jeff Janis catching one to force overtime against the Arizona Cardinals and Randall Cobb coming down with another one.

There was some confusion at the end of Monday’s pass, as one official ruled it incomplete and another said it was a touchdown. The ball did pop out after Lazard caught it, but the official discussed the play and ruled it a score.

It was the correct call, as the receiver had possession in the end zone before it was ripped out.

The end result was more Rodgers magic.
