New York Islanders head coach Patrick said that Sunday’s morning skate will determine if defensemen Ryan Pulock and Scott Mayfield are good to go against the Dallas Stars.

However, both seem likely to be in the lineup after the Islanders activated them from injured reserve on Saturday afternoon.

If in the lineup, Pulock will skate alongside Scott Perunovich, while Mayfield will skate alongside Adam Pelech.

Alexander Romanov will remain with Tony DeAngelo.

With defenseman Dennis Cholowski clearing waivers on Saturday, the Islanders did not have to do anything else to create a roster spot to activate both.

However, if the Islanders want to activate Noah Dobson (LTIR) following Sunday’s game — he must miss that game to reach the minimum 10-game absence)–they’ll need to create a roster spot.

Dobson was a full participant on Saturday, his first practice since he sustained a lower-body injury on Jan. 20 in a 3-1 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
