La Gazzetta dello Sport analysed January moves from Serie A clubs, seeing Milan and Juventus as the best Italian teams in the winter transfer window.

Juventus and Milan were among the highest spenders in the winter transfer window, even if Cesc Fabregas’ Como invested more than any other Serie A club in new signings last month.

Milan welcomed five new players: Kyle Walker, Joao Felix, Warren Bondo, Riccardo Sottil and Santiago Gimenez, while Juventus signed Alberto Costa, Renato Veiga, Lloyd Kelly and Randal Kolo Muani.

Winter transfer window winners and losers: Serie A clubs rated

Some new signings have already had an impact at their new clubs. Kolo Muani, for example, has scored three goals in his opening two appearances with the Bianconeri.

According to Gazzetta, Milan and Juventus were the best teams in the January transfer window, with ratings of 8.5 and 7.5, respectively.

On the other hand, Serie A leaders Napoli sold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG for over €70m but failed to sign a replacement on the same level, welcoming Noah Okafor from Milan on the deadline day.

Not surprisingly, the Partenopei are among the less impressive teams in the January window, as per Gazzetta.
