The Calgary Flames made interesting lineup decisions before the puck drop against the Seattle Kraken.

First, center Kevin Rooney draws in and will replace Clark Bishop in the bottom six. The 31-year-old last played on Jan. 30 against the Anaheim Ducks. In 40 games this season, he’s scored three goals with four points and is minus-8.

Rooney replaces Bishop, who skated in the NHL for the first since 2022 when the Flames recalled him from the Calgary Wranglers in mid-January. In six games, he scored a goal and was minus-2.

Second, veteran defenseman Tyson Barrie is sitting out tonight’s contest. Since being recalled from the AHL last week, he picked up a single assist and was minus-4. The 33-year-old has three points, a goal, and two assists in 12 games.

Daniil Miromanov is back in the lineup in Barrie’s place. He last dressed during the Flames’ back-to-back games last weekend against Minnesota and Winnipeg. In 33 games, he’s scored one goal and six points and is plus-2.
