Duke’s Cooper Flagg continued to excite fans this season, contributing nine points in Friday’s victory over Seattle University.
The Blue Devils cruised past the Redhawks 70-48 at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
With the win, No. 11 ranked Duke improved to 5-2 on the season following a narrow 75-72 loss to the top-ranked Kansas Jayhawks on Tuesday.
Flagg, a true freshman, recorded nine rebounds and seven assists to go with his nine points in 27 minutes. Guard Tyrese Proctor added 13 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Flagg is averaging 17.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this season while shooting 45.8 percent from the field for the Blue Devils.
NBA and college fans alike are hoping their favorite team tanks this season for a chance to draft the 17-year-old phenom out of Newport, Maine.
In just six games, Flagg has become the fastest player in Duke history to surpass 100 points, 50 rebounds and 20 assists, a milestone he reached on Tuesday against the Jayhawks, according to StatMamba.
