NASCAR playoff picture: Cup Series points standings after Bristol

Kyle Larson dominated in winning Saturday’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol, while Daniel Suarez struggled all night to finish 31st.

Both advanced to the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs Round of 12 on Saturday.

Larson (via win) and Suarez (via points) were among the 12 drivers who still have championship hopes after the first round.

Ty Gibbs, Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski and Harrison Burton were eliminated from the playoffs after the race concluded at Bristol. Gibbs could not quite recover from a Stage 1 pit road penalty, and Truex similarly struggled after a pit road penalty on the final stop. Burton had power steering issues, while Keselowski struggled outside the top 20 all race long.
