The Rangers will be without defenseman Zac Jones on Saturday night when they take on the Edmonton Oilers on the road due to an upper-body injury, according to Newsday’s Colin Stephenson.

Jones is being considered day-to-day at this time, meaning he could potentially be ready to play on Monday when the team returns home to New York to face the St. Louis Blues.

The 24-year-old has a plus/minus rating of +9 on the season with five points (one goal, four assists).

With Jones out, the Rangers recalled Victor Mancini from the Hartford Wolf Pack on Friday. The team also assigned Jake Leschyshyn to Hartford.

Additionally, Filip Chytil will skate with the extras after the team’s morning skate, Stephenson notes.

Chytil, who’s also listed as day-to-day, has missed the last three games after taking an elbow to the chest on Nov. 14 against the San Jose Sharks. He was examined by specialists and did not suffer a concussion during the game.
