Juventus hope to take advantage of the financial problems at Olympique Lyonnais by snapping up defender Nicolas Tagliafico in January.
It is no secret that the Bianconeri are in dire need of defensive reinforcements after losing both Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal to serious knee ligament injuries.
They have been linked with a whole host of potential signings, but the most intriguing to emerge is Tagliafico.
According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, the World Cup winner would be a perfect fit because he brings valuable experience without being too expensive.
Tagliafico ideal for Juventus
As Olympique Lyonnais are facing relegation to Ligue 2 if they don’t balance the books quickly, they are in no position to haggle over the cost of their players and could even sell Tagliafico in January for €4-5m.
It is reported that director Cristiano Giuntoli is already at work on securing the 32-year-old Argentina international.
To make things even better, he has an Italian passport and would not need to be registered as a non-EU player.
Tagliafico also has versatility, able to play as a left-back or in central defence, but the only area where he is lacking is in height.
