Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor already took their place among boxing royalty with their 10-round epic at Madison Square Garden back in 2022. Widely considered one of the greatest women’s fights in history, Taylor nabbed a split decision win to retain her undisputed world crown.
On Friday night, the pair returned to the ring once more. The ensuing clash will likely receive similar recognition among boxing enthusiasts; Serrano and Taylor battled wits — and fists — underneath the gleaming AT&T Stadium lights. When the dust settled, it was Taylor who once more emerged victorious, this time via unanimous verdict.
But was such a ruling the right decision? Some onlookers had a different view, citing Serrano’s activity — as well as the fact that Taylor landed not one but two headbutts — as reason for Serrano to take Taylor’s throne.
With that, here’s what you need to know about the result that had social media talking ahead of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s clash Friday night.

Was Amanda Serrano robbed?
Serrano showcased impressive cardio in her clash with Taylor, firing off piston-like punches with relative ease, even as the bout wore on. And yet, come the end of the match, it was Taylor whose hand was raised, not Serrano.
The margins were razor thin between the pair. Taylor blitzed Serrano as the fight wore on, overcoming a slow start to find her footing.

Still, with two headbutts to Taylor’s name — both of which opened up Serrano in a way Taylor’s fists couldn’t — it seemed as if the Puerto Rican would take the prize. After all, headbutts typically receive a one-point deduction.
That didn’t happen. The sports world had differing opinions about why that was the case.
Boxing is wild man. Serrano beat her twice and lost to her twice

Katie Taylor showed legendary grit and toughness. BUT AMANDA SERRANO CLEARLY WON THAT FIGHT, DESPITE TWO HEADBUTTS, ONE ACCIDENTAL AND ONE NOT.
