Bryson DeChambeau moves up in newest Official World Golf Ranking. Where is he now?

The latest update to the Official World Golf Ranking brought little drama at the top. Scottie Scheffler remains firmly entrenched as the No. 1 player in the world, continuing his reign as golf’s standard-bearer following a week dominated by the Presidents Cup.

With many of the game’s biggest names competing in Medinah, movement throughout the rankings was minimal. One notable change came from LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau, who climbed one spot from No. 38 to No. 37, swapping positions with J.T. Poston.

Two-time major champion DeChambeau saw his LIV Golf contract expire following LIV Golf Indianapolis, fueling speculation about where he might play in 2027 and beyond. As uncertainty continues to surround the long-term future of LIV Golf, several players have reportedly begun weighing their options should CEO Scott O’Neil’s vision for a revamped LIV 2.0 fail to materialize.

A number of LIV players have already reflected on their time with the league. Ian Poulter shared a lengthy message recounting his experiences, while DeChambeau took a far more concise approach.

“It was a good run,” DeChambeau wrote alongside a collection of photos highlighting some of his favorite moments from his LIV tenure.

DeChambeau’s high-water mark in the OWGR is No. 4, which came back on May 10, 2021. In 2025, he reached as high as No. 10 after finishing T-2 at the PGA Championship.

Even though he hasn’t played much competitive golf of late, DeChambeau is keeping busy. Full Swing producer Chad Mumm shared a video on social media of Bryson hitting a drive left-handed and the star appears to have little trouble hitting from the opposite side of the mat.
