In a battle for the top spot
in the NFC East on Thursday Night Football, the Philadelphia Eagles came out on
top.
Jayden Daniels struggled as the Eagles took down the Washington Commanders by the final score of 26-18 at Lincoln Financial Field.
Daniels wrapped up a disappointing performance compared to the rest of his stellar rookie season, finishing 22-of-32 for 191 yards and a touchdown as well as an interception. He was limited to just 18 rushing yards on seven attempts and was also sacked three times.
Fans and pundits were unimpressed with the signal-caller.

What a day for Vic Fangio and the Eagles’ defense. Quinyon Mitchell erased Terry McLaurin. Downfield windows were non-existent. Couple big catch-and-runs from the backs but otherwise a stifling performance. pic.twitter.com/fciubA7BNZ

Jayden Daniels has not played well the past couple of weeks and I don’t think anyone can deny that #RaiseHail
Saquon Barkley provided a spark the Eagles’ offense in the second half after the team was only able to muster three points through the first two quarters.
Barkley finished with 146 rush yards and two touchdowns, averaging 5.6 yards per carry. He also made an impact in the pass game, hauling in two receptions for 52 yards.

When #Eagles signed Saquon Barkley, had a few scouts forecast that he would have a Christian-McCaffrey-to-SF-type impact on Philly:
Barkley through 10 games: 134.7 yards per game
McCaffrey, 2023: 126.4 yards per game

Saquon Barkley with the exclamation point.
24 carries for 100 yards after that 23-yard TD.
Barkley has 152 scrimmage yards on the night.
Just shows up every week.#Eagles
Jalen Hurts threw for just 225 yards without a touchdown or an interception, but he found the end zone on the ground in the fourth quarter. Hurts finished with 39 yards as a runner.
The Eagles improved to 8-2 with the win, while the Commanders fell to 7-4.
Both teams will face off again in Week 16.
