JC Latham has one really tough play on Sunday. It came at a terrible time, as the Tennessee Titans were set up with 1st and goal from the 8-yard line in a 17-17 game with 2:33 left to play. Latham got beat and allowed Cam Ward to get sacked. Former Titans scout Blake Beddingfield wrote at PaulKuharsky.com that the play design was poor there, giving Latham “no options on his block.”

Latham is consistently winning in pass blocking without the Titans having to give him help. Look, those are the numbers you expect from a guy when you draft him with the 7th overall pick. It took Latham longer to get here than we had hoped, but it finally seems like the Titans have a right tackle they can count on (left tackle is another story).

This gives the Titans two really good young players on the offensive line with Latham and Peter Skoronski. They are going to have to address left tackle sooner rather than later, but in case you didn’t know, it’s a whole lot easier to find one tackle than two. #math
Rookie left guard Fernando Carmona improved from Week 1 to Week 2. If he can develop into a solid player, the Titans might not be as far away from having a good offensive line as we feared at the beginning of the year.
