Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs posted 16 carries for 52 yards versus the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. Gibbs added six receptions (on eight targets) for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Why It Matters: By Gibbs’ standards, 119 yards and one touchdown is a bit disappointing, but the Lions played from behind almost the entire game, which undercut his opportunities. He also had some nice gains erased by penalties on a night when Detroit’s offense came alive too late to seriously challenge the Bills — Detroit never possessed the ball after the first quarter down by less than two scores. Gibbs continues to function as the only viable back on the Lions’ roster, though, which combined with his talent makes him 1a/1b for the top overall RB in fantasy with Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson.
