The Missouri men are swinging back into action after last week’s season opener in Knoxville, but this time, they’ll be playing a bit further North.

The Tigers are crossing the border to Foot’s Bay, Ontario, for the Canadian Collegiate Invitational held Sept. 13-15. The tournament is hosted at Öviinbyrd Golf Club by Golf Canada in partnership with Kent State and Penn State Universities.

The 54-hole competition will commence at 8:30 a.m. CDT (9:30 a.m. local time) with a shotgun start.

The course, located about 120 miles North of Toronto, features large, exposed granite rocks, plenty of ponds and thick forests throughout the continuous loop.

The Mizzou lineup includes senior Veikka Viskari, junior Paxton Maxwell, junior Trent Mierl, senior Brock Snyder and freshman Antoni Hawkins. Junior Andy Yang will play as an individual.

Viskari, Mierl and Snyder have competed on the course before. At last season’s Canadian Collegiate Invitational, Viskari led the tigers with a -6 total for 11th place.

“It’s always been awesome to come back,” Viskari said. “It’s a really awesome golf course.”

This will be the tournament’s third occurrence since its establishment in 2024, and Mizzou’s third time playing. Mizzou has placed in the top three teams the past two years, but Notre Dame is coming back as the two-time defending champions.

The Tigers are paying special attention to the stretch from hole 7 to 14, Viskari said.

“It’s a stretch you can kind of make or break on,” he said.

The tournament features 12 NCAA Division I men’s golf teams and the team champions of the Canadian University/College Championship for a total of 73 players.
