At the Maracanã, Fluminense beat Platense 2-0 this Tuesday (8) in the first leg of the 2026 Conmebol Libertadores quarterfinals.

The first half from the Laranjeiras Tricolor was one for the books.

After 20 minutes, Hulk was the “bow” as he set up Nonato to open the scoring.

Ten minutes later, the No. 7 was the “arrow” as he received a brilliant pass from PH Ganso in the box and doubled the lead. 

With a solid advantage built in the first half, Fluminense took its foot off the gas but always kept possession of the ball.

In the second half, the Argentine side threatened more, especially with crosses.

In the final minutes, Fluminense dropped back too much and handed the ball to Platense, who began to hover dangerously around the Tricolor box.
