Kai Trump began her career as a college golfer Sunday.
The freshman at Miami competed in her first tournament round at the 2026 Golfweek Fall Classic. Trump opened in 7-over 78 at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. She sits T-102 out of 120 players in the field. She’s one of two Miami players competing as individuals.

Starting on the 10th hole, Trump birdied the 12th and made the turn in 2-over 38. Some trouble on the par-5 second hole resulted in a double bogey, and she came home in 40 in her collegiate debut.
Troy’s Manya Saini and High Point’s Rachel Joyce are co-leaders after matching 5-under 66s. In the team competition, High Point sits at 11 under and has a five-shot advantage over Campbell.
