The Los Angeles Rams traded for receiver Tutu Atwell from the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, reuniting the team with a player who has spent his entire career playing for Sean McVay. In return, the Rams sent running back Jarquez Hunter to the Dolphins after it became apparent that the 2025 fourth-round pick had fallen out of favor with McVay, and was no better than fourth on the depth chart.

Atwell was drafted by the Rams in the second round of the 2021 draft, but was allowed to leave in free agency after a disappointing 2025 campaign in which he was paid $10 million for six catches. He signed with Miami as a free agent, but apparently that did not go well enough for him to stick.
