The YouTube golf community is in a state of chaos as Callaway Golf scrambles to distance itself from popular content creators, Good Good.
A recent Good Good video has sparked major outrage after the brand partnered with Callaway to release a new driver. However, that advertisment has turned controversial after Garrett Clark, Good Good founder, appeared to shove a woman to the ground in the video.
Domestic violence advocates and other support groups have called for the ad to be removed and Callaway and other sponsors to end partnerships with Good Good. That appears to be the case as Callaway Golf now pledges $1 million to organizations fighting violence against women.
In the advertisement, Clark is seen shoving Good Good Girls member Alexis Miestowski to the ground. Clark issued an apology Wednesday, but has undergone further backlash after placing much of the blame for the distasteful ad concept on his company’s marketing team.

Callaway Golf is one of the largest brands in the sport and it works with many PGA Tour professionals. Major champion Xander Schauffele, as well as Min Woo Lee and Sam Burns are all members of Callaway’s team.
However, the brand now needs to be wary of its partnerships after the latest fallout with Good Good.
The popular YouTube page now faces an onslaught of brands distancing themselves from Good Good. Dick’s Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Target, and PGA Tour Superstore have all decided to pull the brand’s merchandise from their stores.

Meanwhile, the PGA Tour is set to host the Good Good Championship in Austin, Texas this November. It’s unclear if the pro golf tour will carry on with that plan based on the recent development.
