Nine Premier League teams competing in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League join the draw as the League Cup determines its third round ties on Wednesday.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Spurs, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Liverpool will join a maximum of 11 other PL teams in the draw, as Leeds eliminated Nottingham Forest in a second-round tie on Tuesday.

The 2026-27 League Cup third round draw will be held after the final match of Wednesday’s League Cup action, which should be Preston North End versus Everton (3pm ET kickoff), so sometime around/after 5:15pm ET.

Who’s in the 2026-27 League Cup third round draw?
So far, a visitor-happy third round has seen Norwich City, Middlesbrough, Sheffield United, Peterborough, Millwall, Barnsley, Wolves, Coventry City, Reading, Leyton Orient, Lincoln City, Hull City, Fleetwood Town, West Ham United, Ipswich Town, Brentford, Newcastle United, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Bradford City, and Leeds United are through to the third round draw.
Why do Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League teams get drawn first?
There are some tricks to the third-round draw, too: Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League teams cannot be drawn against each other, and those sides will know whether they are home or away before the draw in a pre-draw. Those eight teams will be drawn first.
