NASCAR’s race in New Hampshire on Sunday was set to start an hour before its originally scheduled start time of 3 p.m. ET, right up until the moment it wasn’t.

The start of the race had been moved up in an effort to mitigate the effects that some rough weather could have on the race. Unfortunately for NASCAR, that rough weather decided to move up an hour as well, leaving the track extremely wet as the field circled the track for the pace lap, all on wet-weather tires.

As the drivers paraded around the wet road getting a rough feel for how their cars might perform in the tough conditions, Carson Hocevar pulled a maneuver that made it clear that the start of the race would likely get delayed.

It is simply never a good look to spin out during the pace lap.
