NASCAR isn’t changing what works in Illinois. Earlier in the week, NASCAR announced that Chicagoland Speedway will return for the 2027 season. Following a sellout in 2026, NASCAR will return to Chicagoland from June 25 to 27 with the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR O’Reilly Series, and NASCAR Cup Series.
“The fan response this year was overwhelming, so we’re thrilled to be able to honor that turnout with another milestone weekend of racing in Joliet,” said Jacque Herrera, General Manager of Chicagoland Speedway. “I grew up coming to this track with my family, so to see it roar back to life this year and return to the NASCAR competition schedule in 2027 is an incredible thrill.”

The drivers and fans expressed their strong love for Chicagoland, making this the right decision for NASCAR. After spending over half a decade off the schedule, Chicagoland earned its rightful place for 2027. Now, everyone will look forward to another star-studded weekend in Joliet, Illinois.
