Bonus advice: Golf pants should fit cleanly, but comfort matters just as much. After all, you’re going to spend four or five hours walking, swinging, bending and sitting in them. So stick with your normal waist size and look for enough room through the seat and thighs that nothing pulls when you get into your stance or make a full turn. Stretch fabric helps a ton, and if you go that route you shouldn’t have to size up just to move comfortably. For length, a slight break or no break at all usually looks best with golf shoes; if everything fits great except the inseam, buy shorter ones or have them hemmed for a clean, custom look.
