What began 101 days earlier sadly came to an end in July on Sunday of the British Open. Was it just us, or did the 2026 men’s major season seem to fly by with Rory McIlroy, Aaron Rai, Wyndham Clark and Ryan Fox walking off with the hardware—and endless storylines following in their wake?
Now golf fans are in for the long wait—nearly 250 days—until the first round of the 2027 Masters.

Mind you, there is lots of golf to come between now and then, the FedEx Cup Playoffs and Presidents Cup as well as the Walker Cup and Solheim Cup.
To hold you over until the golf world returns to Augusta National once more next April, we compiled this early look at everybody who has already earned a spot in the field for next year’s Masters. We write this post with a caveat: We’re working off the presumption that the qualifying criteria for the 2027 event will mirror what was used in 2026.
Thus far, there are 56 players who likely have qualified (excluding past champions who did not play this past year). That includes two new amateurs who advanced from their performance at the U.S. Amateur at Merion Golf Club, Jay Leng, Jr., and Jack Whaley.
Of course, many more—professionals and amateurs alike—will fill out the lineup through traditional qualifying criteria over nine months. (You can see all the ways players can earn invitations to the Masters below.) In the meantime, here’s the list of presumed invitees.
