Round 2 of the FedEx St. Jude Championship gets underway Friday at TPC Southwind in Memphis as players continue their push for a strong start to the FedExCup Playoffs.
The PGA Tour’s postseason opened Thursday with the top players in the standings battling for position in the first of three playoff events. Jordan Spieth, Michael Thorbjornsen, Kurt Kitayama, Jake Knapp and Michael Kim all shot 5-under par to sit at the top of the leaderboard, while seven others were a mere shot off the lead.

Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and the rest of the field return to the course Friday looking to improve their standing heading into the weekend. With a limited field and no cut after two rounds, every shot matters as players chase valuable FedExCup points and positioning in the playoff race.
