There is no question that Fowler has the potential to have a big year for the Canadiens next season. The 21-year-old goalie has big upside and has already shown a lot of promise early on in his NHL career.
Fowler proved that he was NHL-ready during the 2025-26 season, posting a 9-6-2 record, a 2.43 goals-against average, and a .908 save percentage in 17 appearances. Overall, he had a strong start to his NHL career.
Now, the Canadiens will be hoping that the 2023 third-round pick continues to head into the right direction this upcoming season. If he can put together a big breakout year and form a top-of-the-line tandem with Jakub Dobes, it would be massive for a Canadiens club that is looking to be among the NHL’s best teams in 2026-27.
It will be very interesting to see what Fowler can do as an encore this campaign. The young goalie has a plethora of potential.
