Chase Briscoe is going all-in on Sprint Car racing as a team owner. And Brent Marks stands to benefit most from the splash.
The NASCAR Cup Series driver has reached an agreement to acquire Brent Marks Racing along with Marks’ Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing franchise, forming a full-time national Sprint Car operation under the Chase Briscoe Racing banner.

The deal, announced Saturday ahead of the 65th annual Knoxville Nationals week at Knoxville Raceway, keeps Marks behind the wheel of his familiar No. 19 while adding general manager duties as he oversees the competition side of Briscoe’s race team.
Magical Vacation Planner, which has previously partnered with Briscoe in NASCAR, also joins the operation as its first new sponsor.
The acquisition gives Briscoe an established, championship-caliber operation for his return to Sprint Car team ownership rather than building one from the ground up. Marks, meanwhile, gains additional backing for a self-owned team he’s built into one of the sport’s top programs.
The Myerstown, Pa., driver has won the Kings Royal, Historical Big One, Williams Grove National Open and Tuscarora 50 among other major events. He took his operation to High Limit Racing full time in 2024 and finished third in last year’s national standings with five victories, 15 top-five finishes and 35 top-10s over 49 features.

“This is a surreal moment in my career,” Marks said. “Building a race team took a ton of hard work and sacrifice, and I’m proud of the success we had. This is a new chapter in my life, and I am really excited for it.”

Marks said Briscoe’s acquisition won’t substantially alter the direction of the race team he’s already built, with the two sharing the goal of developing the operation into a championship-winning program.
“I am really excited to have Chase come into Sprint Car racing and High Limit Racing at this level,” Marks said. “We have the same vision, and we will both be working hard to build a championship-winning team.”

For Briscoe, the move represents his most significant investment yet into the form of racing that launched his career.
His family’s Sprint Car ties stretch back 50 years to his grandfather Richard Briscoe, who became a car owner in 1976 and fielded cars driven by 14 eventual National Sprint Car Hall of Famers while accumulating more than 500 victories. Briscoe’s father, Kevin, spent more than two decades racing Sprint Cars and won more than 150 features.
Chase followed as the family’s third generation in the sport, beginning his driving career at 13 and becoming, at the time, the youngest driver to win a 410 Sprint Car feature before eventually climbing the NASCAR ladder.
“Sprint Car racing has been in my blood since birth and was really my first love in motorsports,” Briscoe said. “It is part of my family’s history, and it is where I learned everything about racing and built the foundation for the driver I am today.

“Having a full-time team competing in a national series is truly a dream come true for me. Ever since I was a kid, my dream has been to become a NASCAR Cup Series driver and own a sprint car team, similar to my hero, Tony Stewart.”
Briscoe has remained involved in Sprint Car racing throughout his NASCAR career through occasional driving appearances and part-time team ownership, but acquiring Marks’ team and High Limit franchise establishes his first full-time national operation.
Briscoe’s most recent ownership effort has centered around 23-year-old Karter Sarff of Mason City, Ill., who made eight starts this season in Briscoe’s part-time No. 5 Sprint Car. Sarff’s tenure with CBR includes a June 19 victory in POWRi competition at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind.
“Brent has built a program that wins and has earned respect throughout SprintCcar racing,” Briscoe said. “I want to support what already works and help the team continue improving. Our goal is to contend for wins and championships and operate a team that people are proud to support.”

Marks has already won twice on the High Limit tour this season, triumphing at Fremont Speedway in Ohio and Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. He also earned a World of Outlaws victory at Knoxville in June, charging from eighth for his second career victory at the famed Iowa half-mile.
Briscoe’s plans for the organization extend beyond Marks’ No. 19. He said he eventually wants Chase Briscoe Racing to provide opportunities for younger drivers who have the ability to advance through Sprint Car racing but lack the backing necessary to do so.
“I remember having the determination to keep racing without knowing where the next opportunity would come from,” Briscoe said. “I want this organization to help create a path forward for the next generation of racers.”
