Women’s boxing will take over stateside this weekend, while Ireland hosts the latest Zuffa Boxing event.

Most Valuable Promotions produces a card in Florida featuring two massive title matches. Cherneka Johnson and a returning Dina Thorslund headline to determine the undisputed bantamweight champion. It’s a matchup that could result in fireworks.

Meanwhile, Desley Robinson defends middleweight gold against the rising Tamm Thibeault in the co-feature. Can Thibeault, an amateur standout, win gold in just her fifth pro fight?

On the other side of the globe, Aaron McKenna looks to prove he’s the prince that was promised all those years ago with Golden Boy when he takes on Etinosa Oliha for the IBF middleweight title. Zuffa Boxing attempts to make McKenna a star, but Oliha looks to give him some trouble.

MVPW boxing predictions

Cherneka Johnson vs. Dina Thorslund (IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO, Ring Bantamweight titles)

Per the FanDuel Sportsbook, Cherneka Johnson is the -128 favorite, while Dina Thorslund is the +102 underdog.

Though she’s been away, Thorslund is still one of the top strikers in the world. She ranks sixth among the top female fighters in boxing at 10.2. She ranks second in power shots landed with an 84.5 mark. Johnson lands the seventh-most punches per round (14.2) and the most jabs per round (5.9).

Thorslund provides relentless pressure and pinpoint accuracy in her fights. Her opponents land the second-fewest of any boxer with a mark of 18.4%. Johnson’s opponents land the ninth-lowest strikes (22%). What makes Johnson dangerous is the pressure she puts on fighters, like not stopping the attack after forcing Amanda Galle to bleed. Johnson also landed 86 jabs against Shurretta Metcalf.

Both fighters are tough as nails. Johnson may take the win, but it won’t be easy. Expect a decision win, with Thorslund forcing her to give her all.

Desley Robinson vs. Tamm Thibeault (IBF, WBO, Ring Middleweight titles)

Per the DraftKings Sportsbook, Tamm Thibeault is the -390 favorite, while Desley Robinson is the +285 underdog.

An Olympian and multi-time medalist at the amateur level, Thibeault has competed in multiple fights with three-minute rounds. The extended time has resulted in multiple knockout wins for the Canadian. Robinson forced Mary Spencer to stumble early in the first round of their fight. From there, she took over, forcing a decision win one fight after taking out Logan Holler in two rounds.

Both hit hard. Robinson is the veteran here. Meanwhile, Thibeault is back to competing in two-minute rounds. It isn’t expected to be a negative factor. In fact, Thibeault’s hunger, speed, and power should be enough for a late TKO win. The future has arrived!

Zuffa Boxing 10 predictions

Aaron McKenna vs. Etinosa Oliha for the IBF middleweight title

Per Bet365, Aaron McKenna is the -350 favorite, while Etinosa Oliha is the +300 underdog.

A former Golden Boy Promotions prospect, McKenna has been fast-tracked to superstardom for quite some time. The multi-time national champion passed his first major test when he beat Liam Smith in 2025, landing 292 of 794 shots (36.8%) against the veteran, with over 30 strikes landed in four rounds. Primarily fighting in Germany and Italy, Olihahas has won two straight via knockout. He has 10 wins via the power punch.

Olihahas is considered an unknown. He could provide the ultimate upset, but McKenna’s growth is something any boxing fan can’t ignore. Olihahas will make him work, but McKenna should land the sharper strikes for the win.
