Brian Battle and Dalton Rosta face off in the main event of PFL Charlotte. Battle is the more experienced fighter in this bout, by far, posting a 7-1 record in the UFC dating back to 2021, while Rosta went 7-1 in Bellator with two wins since joining the PFL in 2025. Rosta is coming off two KO/TKO losses in his last two fights, though, including a first-round KO loss to Impa Kasanganay just 132 days ago. Battle should be the favorite in this fight, however I’m not sure if he is going to knock Rosta out. Battle’s last KO victory was in September 2024 at UFC Fight Night Paris. Still, it’s the safest bet to take Battle on the moneyline if you like him to win.
Best bet
This is a good bet to make and at plus money too. Both Rosta and Battle fought on the PFL Pittsburgh card and lost. So expect them both to be motivated to finish the fight in this one. However, Battle has a grind-it-out style that bodes well for his ability to take this one to the judges’ scorecards. Those factors make Battle to win by decision a good bet to make here.

This fight was rescheduled from PFL New York last week after Powell wasn’t cleared to compete. But it’s a great fight on paper. Yagshimuradov is the favorite according to the odds, but this one might be closer to a coin flip than the odds suggest. Powell has finished 75% of his fights inside the distance compared to Yagshimuradov’s 69%. Yagshimuradov has won four of his past five fights dating back to 2024 and is the older fighter by nearly 10 years. Expect the favorite to dominate in this one, and a decision seems likely with the odds favorite over 1.5 rounds at DraftKings.
Best bet
I don’t feel comfortable picking a side in this one, but I do believe it goes over two rounds. A decision seems like the most likely outcome given the even style of fighting of each competitor and the odds listed. Bet the over and run with it despite the juice here.

This might be a fight where taking the underdog is a more attractive option. Silveira is a longtime PFL veteran that has been with the organization since 2022. That experience should have him at shorter odds than he is listed at right now. I think taking Silveira on the moneyline at +145 is the right choice. In comparison, Jeffery only has one win since his PFL debut in 2025 and went 4-2 in Bellator from 2024-2022 before that. Not impressive for someone who is coming in at -175.
Best bet
Silveira deserves to have shorter odds to win this fight. He is the more experienced veteran in this fight and has proven he has what it takes to win against some of the best competition in the organization. While Jeffery is the young, up-and-comer that is no doubt a trendy pick, I’m backing that the experience of Silveira will pull him through in this one.

McGrillen is a former PFL champion who won the event and $100,000 dollars at the 2024 Europe Championships. Since then he has one win against Alan Philpott in May 2025 and one recent submission loss to Rafael do Nascimento just a few weeks ago. It’s interesting to see him get back in the ring so quickly, but there’s obviously optimism from McGrillen and his team that he can dispatch of Brandon Lewis rather quickly. Much of the skepticism around Lewis revolves around that fact that he is making is PFL debut on Friday, and he hasn’t fought since his 2024 split decision victory over Michael Billups in the Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Unfortunately, the PFL is a different level and McGrillen can easily dispatch of Lewis inside of the distance.
Best bet
If there is an option to take McGrillen to win in under 1.5 rounds, I would take it. The experience of McGrillen will prove too much for Lewis to handle in this matchup. And in his first fight, adjusting to the level of fighting at the PFL, Lewis will have his hands full literally and figuratively. So instead of taking McGrillen straight up, since there’s no value in that as such short odds, we are going with the under total rounds. A knockout or submission hits this easily for us.

Fremd made a statement in his PFL debut in Pittsburgh, knocking out Jarrah Hussein Al-Silawl with a left hook in the third round back in March. He has displayed the power to put anyone’s lights out, even getting a KO/TKO finish in a Bare Knuckle Boxing fight against Jared Torgeson only a month later in April. Gregory hasn’t seen the same success losing to Boris Atangana at PFL Europe last year before bouncing back with a submission victory over Haider Khan in Feburary. It seems to me like Fremd is the better fighter and that will be shown quickly when the two step into the octagon on Friday night.
Best bet
This is a fight that is expected to end quicky, and for good reason too. Fremd has finished his last two fights dating back to a July 2024 loss back when he was in the UFC. The left-hand hook knockout of Al-Silawi in March was devastating, and it’s safe to expect more of the same against Gregory in Charlotte.

MMA bet types
Unlike other sports, MMA betting has a lot more variety than many people know. Its not just about who wins or loses, but the multiple layers of bets that can be made based on outcome, method and timing. Here are the main types of MMA bet types explained:
- Moneyline bet: This is the simplest bet. You pick the fighter who you think will win the fight. In certain rare cases this can include a draw/no contest outcome. This is by far the most common MMA bet.
- Method of victory bet: This is a bet on how the fight ends, not just who wins. Some common options available are a stoppage by KO/TKO, submission or decision (the judges’ scorecards).
- Round betting: This bet is a prediction on when a fight ends or how long it will last. You can bet on if a fight will end in Round 1, 2 or 3 if its a bout or non-main event. And you can bet on if a fight will end in Round 4 or 5 if you are betting on a main event or championship fight.
- Over/Under rounds (total rounds): This is a bet on whether the fight goes longer or shorter than the number set by the sportsbook. Examples are if a fight goes over 2.5 rounds or under 1.5 rounds. These are often one of the most popular MMA prop bets.
- Prop bets (fighter-specific stats): These are “extra” bets about performance, like if a fighter lands more strike, scores a knockdown, the fight ends in the first 60 seconds or a fighter wins in Round 1.
- Same Game Parlays (SGPs): Combine multiple UFC bets into one ticket.
