The announcements continue a busy stretch of schedule reveals after several other tracks confirmed dates over the past week, giving fans an increasingly clear picture of what the 2027 season will look like.

Talladega Keeps Its Traditional Spring and Fall Weekends

Talladega Superspeedway will once again host two NASCAR weekends in 2027, maintaining its familiar place on the calendar.

The spring event is scheduled for April 24-25, featuring the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday before the NASCAR Cup Series’ Jack Link’s 500 on Sunday.

The Alabama superspeedway will then return later in the season for a pivotal Chase weekend from Oct. 29-31. That event includes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on Friday, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday and the Cup Series’ YellaWood 500 on Sunday.

As it has in recent years, the fall Talladega race is expected to play a major role in the championship battle, with drivers looking to survive one of NASCAR’s most unpredictable tracks during the Chase.

Iowa Moves to Fourth of July Weekend

Iowa Speedway also announced a significant calendar shift for 2027.

Rather than its previous summer date, NASCAR will race at the Newton, Iowa, facility over Fourth of July weekend, with competition scheduled for July 2-4.

The weekend will begin with the ARCA Menards Series on Friday, followed by the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday before the NASCAR Cup Series headlines the holiday weekend on Sunday, July 4.

The 2027 event will also mark another milestone for Iowa Speedway. Track officials announced the facility will debut a completely new racing surface following a full repave that is scheduled to begin immediately after this weekend’s Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol.

In addition to the new asphalt, Iowa Speedway said fan concourses, suites and club areas will also receive improvements before the 2027 race weekend.

The 2027 NASCAR Calendar Continues to Grow

The Talladega and Iowa announcements add to a growing list of tracks that have already confirmed dates for the 2027 NASCAR season.

Among those already announced are Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Circuit of The Americas, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Phoenix Raceway and Texas Motor Speedway.
