EchoPark Speedway’s place on NASCAR’s 2027 calendar is officially set.
On Aug. 4, the Georgia track announced the dates for both of its NASCAR weekends next season, giving fans two opportunities to watch Cup Series racing at one of the sport’s most competitive venues.

The announcement comes as more pieces of the 2027 schedule continue to fall into place ahead of NASCAR’s full schedule release.
Atlanta’s spring weekend will take place Feb. 26-28, just one week after the Daytona 500. The second visit returns July 17-18, bringing back the popular summer night race that has become one of the highlights of the Cup Series calendar.
Together, the two weekends ensure EchoPark Speedway will once again play a significant role in the championship picture.
EchoPark Speedway will again host two Cup Series races
The first weekend of the season at Atlanta will feature the Cup Series’ the Autotrader 400 on Sunday, Feb. 28.

NASCAR will then return to the 1.54-mile track on July 17-18 for its annual summer weekend, highlighted by the Cup Series racing under the lights on Saturday night for the Dollar Tree 400.
EchoPark Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Brandon Hutchison said the facility is eager to welcome fans back for another year featuring two marquee events.
“We can’t wait to welcome fans back to EchoPark Speedway for two unforgettable NASCAR weekends in 2027,” Hutchison said in a statement.
“Whether it’s paired with spring sunshine or the electric atmosphere of racing under the lights on a summer night, fans are enjoying some of the best racing in the world when NASCAR comes to Atlanta. We’re looking forward to delivering more white-knuckle, edge-of-your-seat excitement to everyone who joins us in February and July next year.”

The Truck Series will make two Atlanta appearances
The announcement also includes a notable change for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
For the first time since 2008, the Truck Series will compete at Atlanta twice in the same season.
The series will race on Saturday, Feb. 27, during the spring weekend before returning on Saturday night, July 17, as part of the summer event.
Meanwhile, the NASCAR O’Reilly Series will make a single stop at EchoPark Speedway in 2027, with the Bennett Transportation and Logistics 250 scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27.
Broadcast information and complete weekend schedules for both events will be announced at a later date.
As NASCAR continues unveiling pieces of its 2027 calendar, Atlanta has now officially secured two weekends that have become staples of the modern Cup Series schedule.
