FC Barcelona are looking to part ways with homegrown midfielder Marc Casado this summer.
The La Masia graduate has fallen down the pecking order at the club over the past year and even though the Catalans are short on a midfielder after Frenkie de Jong’s injury, the plan remains for the youngster to leave.

Now, according to journalist Miquel Blazquez as conveyed exclusively to Barça Universal, Inter Milan have emerged as a possible destination for Casado this summer.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been courting strong interest from Saudi Arabia, with a lucrative offer also on the table from Al Hilal.
However, his priority has always been to continue in Europe if he were to leave Barça at any point.
Now, the possibility of signing for the Serie A champions seems to be growing, with the idea of joining the Nerazzurri understood to appeal to the midfielder.
As such, if the interest becomes concrete, personal terms are not expected to be an issue between Inter Milan and Casado.

Barcelona want €40 million
As far as Barcelona are concerned, their plan remains unchanged – Casado is still up for sale despite the injury blow to De Jong, which will keep him out for at least four months.

The Blaugrana are hoping to receive a fee of around €40 million from the academy graduate’s sale, which will count as clean profit in the accounting books thanks to his homegrown status.
For now, there are no talks between parties and Inter Milan will need to come forward with a formal proposal and negotiations will need to follow between the two clubs.

Casado has always maintained that his priority is to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place. But he has stated in the past that he would leave if the club themselves ask him to move on.
Now, Inter Milan is seen as an appealing destination by Casado if he has to bring his time at his boyhood club to an end. More developments could take place in the days to come.
