Yealimi Noh led the AIG Women’s Open heading into the final round on Sunday.
Despite a poor run of holes during her front nine, Noh still leads the Women’s Open with her back nine left to play.

The 25-year-old, who has just one LPGA Tour win to her name, has played some wonderful golf at Royal Lytham & St Annes this week.
One of her key strengths during the Women’s Open has been her incredibly solid putting on the tricky greens.

And now renowned golf analyst Brandel Chamblee has made an observation about the way in which she utilizes the long putter.

Chamblee is one of the most outspoken pundits in the professional game today.
He was an uncompromising character during his PGA Tour days and nothing has changed since he swapped the golf course for the commentary booth.

Chamblee took to his official X account on Sunday, and made a comment about Noh’s putting style.
The Californian is one of the few golfers on the LPGA Tour who use the long putter, and Chamblee is a big fan of the way that she goes about her business.
“Up watching the AIG Women’s Open, which is being played at one of my favorite venues, Royal Lytham,“ Chamblee said.
“A number of good stories percolating. Lucy Li would be a popular surprise. Haeran Ryu going for three majors in a row. Jeeno Thitikul going for her first.

“But Yealimi Noh currently leads, and as a side note uses the long putter the proper way, clearly showing distance between her top hand and her body. Refreshing to see.“

Chamblee is obviously taking a swipe at the many PGA Tour stars who use the long putter but have the butt-end of the grip dangerously close to their chest.
Of course, golfers are not allowed to anchor the putter to their chests or, indeed, their torsos.
Akshay Bhatia’s response to anchoring accusations
Earlier in the year, Akshay Bhatia was accused of anchoring by some fans, and the 24-year-old responded immediately.
“I’d honestly just take my shirt off and show everyone, this is where I’m at,“ Bhatia insisted.
“Because it’s three to four inches from my chest. Like, I’m not built like Adam Scott. I’m not built like Lucas Glover.

“And so, yeah, it looks like it touches my shirt.
“But I had a great conversation with the rules committee last week, and my integrity, like, there’s obviously a lot of integrity on this sport.
“Um, and so, yeah, people can say what they want to say. If I wasn’t playing well, no one would say anything.“
