Former Auburn golfer Jackson Koivun won the PGA 3M Open in historic fashion on Sunday, July 26, shooting 25-under par.
In just his third-ever professional start, Koivun won his first PGA Tour win, shooting a tournament record. Scottie Scheffler finished second just three strokes behind Koivun.

The 21-year-old legacy continues to build as he had just announced he was going to join the PGA Tour back in June after winning his second national championship with the Tigers. Koivun received multiple praises across social media from former Tigers such as Jason Campbell and Gus Malzahn.
A moment that will be cherished by Koivun, and a moment that seems to be the genesis of a historic career in golf. CBS Jim Nantz perfectly said a “War Eagle” after Koivun sank the winning putt.
Koivun is now the youngest American to win a PGA Tour event by multiple shots in 94 years.
