Last week, it was announced that the New Orleans Saints and running back Alvin Kamara came to an agreement on a restructured contract which ensures that the 30-year-old will indeed play this season and likely finish his NFL career in the black and gold.
However, the Saints also signed former running back Travis Etienne during free agency in the offseason. Etienne is expected to do the heavy lifting and take over the starting role but it’s one that Kamara will not walk away from easily.

Kamara’s former teammate Terron Armstead revealed on his podcast, “The Set”, that the star running back is “hungry and pissed off,” due his lack of production the past few seasons.
So even with Etienne stepping up and getting the bulk of the touches, this will help to keep an aggressive Kamara to stay fresh and make a loud statement with his opportunities on the field.
