Veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett wants a raise. The Arizona Cardinals want to give him one. So why hasn’t it happened yet?
ESPN and NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport reported on July 21 – one day before players are to report to Arizona’s training camp – that Brissett and the Cardinals still had not resolved the quarterback’s contract situation.

“My understanding of the situation is the Arizona Cardinals are in agreement that Jacoby Brissett deserves more money,” Rapoport said. “The two sides have been negotiating for several months. They have not yet agreed on a number, but they do believe he is due a new deal and deserves one.”
