If the Chicago Bears are good again, they’ll surely get some individual accolades, and 49% of our Windy City Gridiron voters believe they’ll have three or four Pro Bowlers this season. We posed the question earlier this week, and WCG member Turkeyfoot predicted six! Guard Joe Thuney, right tackle Darnell Wright, quarterback Caleb Williams, tight end Colston Loveland, and newcomer defenders linebacker Devin Bush and safety Coby Bryant.

The Bears had four last season, but three of those players are no longer playing in Chicago

I only predicted five in 2026: Thuney, Wright, Caleb, Loveland, and cornerback Jaylon Johnson, and here’s a bit more on that.

As long as he’s healthy, Thuney feels like a lock. He’s such a good football player, with no weaknesses in his game at all. He’ll turn 34 in November, but interior offensive linemen often stay in their prime through their mid-30s. He’s signed through 2027, but I hope he can continue playing a bit longer, because, besides his on-field prowess, he’s an exceptional teammate and locker-room leader.

Wright, who turns 25 next month, is in line for a much-deserved contract extension. He’s a Second-Team All-Pro, but his best football is still to come.

I think Loveland is on the cusp of being mentioned with the elites at tight end. He was good as a 21-year-old rookie last year, but we could be looking at the emergence of an all-time great.

Jaylon Johnson has had a nice offseason, and he looks to be back at his two-time Pro Bowl form. He just turned 27 in April, so he seems like a fair bet for a bounce-back season.

Which brings me to Caleb. While I’m picking him to make his first Pro Bowl, his path may not be as clear. The NFC has some good quarterbacks, and while Caleb’s numbers will surely be better, he may not be called on for as many late-game heroics, which are the flashy plays that bring notoriety from voters (fans, players, and coaches).

Our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook have Caleb with the 9th-best odds to win the league MVP at +1500, with only two other NFC QBs ahead of him, so if that holds true, then Caleb will make it.

Then again, he very well could be busy the week of the Pro Bowl Games, so he may need to settle for the accolade without the experience.
