Serena Williams returns to Wimbledon at the age of 44 in what is the headline act of the opening round as she takes on Australian Maya Joint.
Having last played singles at the US Open in 2022 before retiring, the seven-time Wimbledon champion is back at SW19 having taken a wildcard entry. She’ll also be teaming up with sister Venus in the doubles.
