KANSAS CITY, Mo. — From the pitch to the green, members of the Dutch World Cup soccer team visited a local golf course ahead of Thursday’s match against Tunisia at Arrowhead Stadium.
Several World Cup soccer players on the Netherlands National Team stopped by Tiffany Greens Golf Club to get some swings in before their next match.

“They got up here almost instantaneously,” Landon Beynon said. “It was like they drove straight from the airport, straight to here.”
Beynon is the Head Golf Professional at Tiffany Greens.
He said the Netherlands team manager called on Monday to book two foursomes. Sure enough, Beynon said a short time later eight players on the Dutch World Cup team showed up to golf.
“I love how down to earth they are because a lot of guys that have a lot of money, they come in and say, ‘I want all these tee times blocked off. Make it happen.’ Not them,” Beynon said. “They were super down to earth, super gracious, just happy to be out here.”

Ben Whitehair is a member at Tiffany Greens. He was ready to tee up a warm welcome.
“That would be great, I hope I run into them,” Whitehair said.
Beynon said the Dutch rented four sets of clubs and left with some souvenirs.
“They bought a divot tool, one of them even said ‘I love the fact that they have your skyline on the divot tool,’” Beynon said.

“I’m going to say that they should probably stick to soccer for a little bit, get some practice rounds in… I think as a group they could do pretty good in a four-man scramble.”

These soccer stars are not the only celebrities to roll through Tiffany Greens over the years. The club has also welcomed Chiefs player Travis Kelce, former Chiefs player JuJu Smith-Schuster and, most recently, country music artist, Dierks Bentley.
