Eric Cole will look to claim his first win on the PGA Tour as he takes a one-shot lead into the final round of the Charles Schwab Challenge.
Cole shot a tournament-best round of 7-under 63 on Saturday to move into the top spot. He’s at 12-under overall, one better than Ryan Gerard and two ahead of J.J. Spaun and Mac Meissner.

The 37-year-old Cole has 18 top-10 finishes in his PGA Tour career, but this could be his best chance to get that elusive first win.
“It’s not going to be an easy day tomorrow, I know that from my experience,” he said at the conclusion of Saturday’s round. “I know that it’s going to be difficult, but that’s why I practice really hard and that’s why I try and do everything the way I do so that I could be as prepared for whatever tomorrow brings.”
