The first move by Roma’s new sporting director, Tony D’Amico, will be Paulo Dybala’s contract renewal.

The decisive push came after Parma-Roma, when the number 21 declared post-match that the derby against Lazio would be his last match at the Olimpico in the Giallorossi jersey.
Gian Piero Gasperini played a crucial role, having pushed hard for the Argentine to remain at Trigoria.
The former Juventus player’s agent, Carlos Novel, and the Friedkins appear to have reached an agreement for a two-year contract with a salary significantly lower than the player’s current earnings.
In the year leading up to his centenary, Paulo Dybala will therefore still be a Roma player. And, barring any major surprises, the official announcement should arrive within the next week.
