Daniel Suarez is a Crown Jewel winner in NASCAR. Suarez and the No. 7 team for Spire Motorsports won the 2026 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Spire Motorsports driver entered victory lane after rain forced NASCAR to call the race at Charlotte.
Following the shortened race, Suarez talked about the meaning of winning the Coca-Cola 600 after Kyle Busch’s tragic death on Thursday, May 21.

“It really means a lot. It really means a lot,” Suarez said. “I’ve been saying for years this is my favorite race of the year. I get to have my family here every year. This is most of the time the only race I get to come. It’s been a very tough week. [Kyle Busch], he was special, man. This one is for Kyle. For Kyle, for Samantha, for Brexton, for Lennix, all his family. But definitely this one has a special flavor because of Kyle. This win is for him. If it wasn’t for Kyle, I wasn’t going to be an Xfinity champion. I wasn’t going to have my shot in the Cup Series. To win this race for him is unbelievable.”
Suarez is a former Kyle Busch Motorsports driver, and winning for Busch was an unbelievable feeling. It may not have been through domination or with a really fast car; however, Suarez took advantage of a great call with the weather on the way to win the Coca-Cola 600.
