Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are undoubtedly the two biggest stars on LIV Golf.
DeChambeau jumped ship from the PGA Tour back in June 2022 in order to join LIV Golf and Rahm made the same move 18 months later.

Both players were paid huge sums of money to join the Saudi-backed league.
However, with Saudi’s PIF set to withdraw their funding from the project at the end of the 2026 season, both DeChambeau and Rahm face uncertain futures.

While LIV seems to get weaker with every week that passes, the PGA Tour continues to head in the opposite direction.
With PIF’s LIV funding set to cease from the end of the 2026 onwards, DeChambeau and Rahm will face some really difficult decisions moving forward.

Bryson DeChambeau has an easy PGA Tour decision to make unlike Jon Rahm
Even if LIV Golf does manage to secure brand new investment, there is no way that the purses on offer will be as lucrative as they have been in the past.
If DeChambeau and Rahm are offered a return to the PGA Tour again, just like they were in January, they will surely both be desperate to make it happen.
The key to both players’ decision making processes should be that the PGA Tour will clearly prepare them better for the major championships.
The good news for DeChambeau is that he is in a far better position than Rahm.
That’s because the two-time U.S. Open champion’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current season.

Meanwhile, Rahm’s deal runs for at least another two years, and he recently admitted that the contract he signed back in 2023 will most likely be impossible to get out of.
“As of right now, I have several years on my contract left,“ the 31-year-old said.

“I’m pretty sure they did a pretty good job when they drafted that. So I don’t see many ways out, and as of right now, I’m not really thinking about it since we still have a season to play and majors to compete for.
“So it’s not something I want to think about just yet.”
Bryson DeChambeau is in a really strong position
The bottom line is that DeChambeau is in a far stronger position than Rahm is right now.

If the 32-year-old from Dallas wants to return to the PGA Tour in 2027, it’s a fact that he will be able to do so.
Brooks Koepka was allowed to do it, and DeChambeau would be as well.
It’s also worth noting that the PGA Tour have recently changed their content creation policy.
Nobody knows for certain what the future holds for LIV Golf, Bryson DeChambeau or Jon Rahm.
However, there is one certainty, and that is that Bryson DeChambeau will have a much clearer path back to the PGA Tour than Jon Rahm will.
What a great position for the two-time U.S. Open champion to be in. Whether he wants to return to the PGA Tour, ramp up his content creation on YouTube or even remain with LIV Golf, the world is very much his oyster.
