The historic Tennessean/Metro Parks Schooldays Golf Tournament on Brandt Snedeker’s Tour will have new boys and girls champions in 2026.
The 102nd tournament for golfers ages 12-18 is scheduled for June 3-5 at McCabe Golf Course. Nearly 100 players are signed up for the tournament, which uses a two-stage format, with an initial stroke-play (medal play) qualifying round, followed by single-elimination match play for the top 16 boys and eight girls.

The 2025 boys champion, Carter Stroup from Greenbrier, is too old to participate. He just finished his first season on the Cumberland golf team.

The 2025 girls champion, Poppy Pewitt of Dickson, has a scheduling conflict that will prevent her from defending her title.
Stroup, a two-time Schooldays champion, defeated Greyson Koch of White House 4 and 3 in the 2025 final. Koch is expected to return, along with Gallatin’s Austin Schreiner, who played in the 2025 semifinals. Stroup’s younger brother, Caden, also will return.

Koch, a recent graduate and Tennessee State signee, also won the 2024 TSSAA Class A Boys state championship.
Pewitt, the 2024 Schooldays runner-up, was the Tennessee Junior Player of the Year by the TGA and has been nominated for The Tennessean’s Athlete of the Year for its 2025-26 High School Sports Awards.
She defeated 12-year-old Henry County sensation AddiMae Glover 4 and 3 in the 2025 match play final round. Glover, who has competed several times in the Drive, Chip and Putt competition hosted by the Masters organization, USGA, and PGA of America, is in the field again.
The tournament joined the Sneds Tour and Tennessee Junior Golf Tour in 2024. Snedeker, who won his 10th career PGA Tour event on May 10 in the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, played in the tournament five times as a youth golfer.
