According to SPORT, RCD Mallorca’s relegation from La Liga has significantly simplified the potential departure of former FC Barcelona winger Jan Virgili, one of the most sought-after players in the club’s squad.

The Blaugrana have been keeping a close eye on the former La Masia talent after having sold him to Mallorca last summer.

this contractual change carries particular significance for Barcelona. Given the club’s retained 40 per cent stake in a future sale and their right of first refusal, Barcelona could potentially re-sign him for a fee close to €7 million.

A bargain option?

Barcelona are keen on strengthening the left flank but there are doubts about the permanent signing of Marcus Rashford as the club are reluctant to shell out the €30 million purchase fee.
