Cooper Dossey’s week has been a “whirlwind.”

The third-year Korn Ferry Tour finished last week’s tournament in Columbia, South Carolina, in a tie for 27th. Then, he and his brother, his full-time caddie Luke, drove to Charlotte and hopped a plane to Dallas so that Cooper could make his all-important Monday tee time at Dallas Athletic Club. They got into the house around midnight. Cooper Dossey got some sleep, then woke up on Monday and qualified for the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. Dossey finished third in the Dallas sectional behind medalist Peter Uihlein and Tom Kim, but that was good enough to secure one of the nine spots up for grabs at Shinnecock.
