NASCAR will not run the Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday night. Following inclement weather, NASCAR has postponed the Truck Series event at Charlotte to Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. ET. Live coverage will still be on FOX Sports 1.
The postponement comes after NASCAR finished its pre-race ceremonies and brought the 36 trucks onto the race track. The drivers did several pace laps and received the one-to-go signal multiple times; however, the spotters gave NASCAR a thumbs down. Eventually, NASCAR brought everyone back down pit road, and the action stopped for the rest of the night.
NASCAR hopes to complete the Truck Series race on Saturday morning. The weather forecast doesn’t look very good over the next few days, meaning Friday night’s postponement might not be the only one of the weekend. Hopefully, the weather can clear out soon, and NASCAR throws the green flag for racing at Charlotte.
