Shaw, 21, spent three years at North Carolina and transferred to Texas ahead of the 2025 campaign. The 6-foot-5, 334-pound defensive tackle appeared in 50 games between his stops with the Tar Heels and Longhorns before going unselected in the 2026 NFL draft. A former five-star recruit, Shaw totaled 68 tackles, including 6.5 for loss, to go with four batted passes and two fumble recoveries over that span. His first career start arrived as a senior last fall.

Lalos, 28, signed in March following a workout. A 6-foot-5, 269-pound convert from defensive end, the Dartmouth product entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Appearing in six games through a series of transactions during his rookie year with the New York Giants, Lalos recorded six tackles, one fumble recovery and one interception. After a full 2021 season on the practice squad, he spent parts of three campaigns with the New Orleans Saints and logged a spring with the XFL’s Seattle Sea Dragons. A switch to long snapper followed.

Previously, the Patriots added outside linebacker Xavier Holmes and safety Peter Manuma to the roster after both participated in rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.

New England’s undrafted class also includes running back Myles Montgomery, wide receivers Jimmy Kibble, Nick DeGennaro, Kyle Dixon and Cameron Dorner, tight end Tanner Arkin, offensive linemen JonDarius Morgan and Jacob Rizy, defensive tackle David Blay Jr., linebacker Khalil Jacobs, as well as defensive backs Channing Canada and Kenneth Harris.
