After the Los Angeles Lakers’ 115-103 loss to the struggling Detroit Pistons on Monday night, fans were disappointed to see LeBron James and the team drop a game after a strong 3-0 season start.

The Lakers fell to 4-3 on the season, while the Pistons improved to 3-5. Prior to their victory, the Pistons were 0-3 at home but came out strong against the Lakers, outscoring them 67-53 in the first half.

James finished the night with 20 points, eight rebounds and eleven assists while shooting 7-of-16 from the field in the loss. Anthony Davis exploded with 37 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.

Lakers fans were disappointed with the 39-year-olds performance as he finished the game with a plus-minus of -16.

On the other side of the court, Cade Cunnigham posted 17 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists while Jaden Ivey contributed with 26 points.

After losing three of their last four games, Los Angeles is now facing some pressure following their impressive start under first-year head coach JJ Redick.

With concerns over A.D.’s health and how long he can endure while averaging 35.8 minutes per game, along with the lack of a consistent third option behind Davis and James, fans are beginning to worry about the fate of the season.

Lakers lose 115-103 against the Pistons. A brutal loss with an even worse effort. The Lakers bench was outscored 20-10 and the team was outrebounded 55-37. Anthony Davis performed well, scoring 37 points along with 9 rebounds.

🦅 HURTS/BARKLEY 2024🦅 (6-2) @RollPhillyDawgz

Deangelo Russell and Austin Reaves were TERRIBLE tonight I can forgive Austin but get DeAngelo off the #Lakers TONIGHT

The Lakers fall down by as many as 20 early and lose in DET, 115-103, to fall to 1-3 on this road trip. The trip started with LAL saying they didn’t want to lose two games in a row all season. Then AD said TOR-DET-MEM were all “must wins.” A rough road, indeed.

Anthony Davis has been laboring in this 4th Q, but will stay in after a time out, with LA down 103-96.
He has 35 points with his 9 boards and 4 assists, and is 11 of 13 at the FT line (and now leads the NBA in scoring and FTA per game).

73-9 and THEY LIED @CuffsTheLegend

Lakers won’t win a championship with this starting backcourt.
Feet too slow. They’re food defensively and other backcourts around the league eyes light up whenever they see the Lakers backcourt on the schedule pic.twitter.com/7Thj2jzpij

The Lakers will travel to Memphis on Wednesday to take on the Ja Morant and the Grizzlies.
